BPAccording to Charlotte, North Carolina’s Fox affiliate website, BP are interested to take back the domain name of BPCares.com from the registrant. However, BP seems failed to do so after a few tries, but it didn’t mention whether BP threatened a UDRP or any other legal action. The domain registrant had the thought to buy this domain after he saw the domain of NBACares.com used in action by National Basketball Association. Besides, the domain registrant also mentioned that he own other BP related domain names and have successfully monetize them.

It is possible that he will be threaten in legal action, especially since the owner apparently confirmed that he registered other names related to other companies. The BPCares.com owner does not mention the sales price, although it is listed in Sedo without asking price. His aim may not the profit from BP brand, maybe he wants to run the websites by his own, or to get profit from advertisers. Other domain that owned by this registrant included GoogleCares.com and DisneyCares.com.

I dont know how much he cares but he is using trademark domains and he will need to give them away.
