By year of 2010, the web addresses registration across the worldwide is approaching 200 million, according to report from global registry operator Verisign. The most popular registration is still .com, where occupying around 87 million registration or nearly half of the total registration.

The other top name-based domains were Germany (.de), China (.cn) and UK (.uk). Domain names registration only used four years to reach these 200 million milestones, where the 100 million milestones was reached at 2006. It is believe that the total number of the domain name will continue increasing at least for the next few years.
