This few weeks are huge in domain name taking. All popular global companies are fighting against trademark frauds and bad faith domains.
So let get started:
First domain that was lost is Geo domain, hayward.com. WIPO gave it to Hayward Industries. Previous owner have this domain since 2006. Previous owner wanted to sale this domain for 100 000$. Hayward is as well name of the city with 150 000 people in California. That’s no matter to WIPO because they probably have some interest into giving this domain to Hayward Industries. Because there is no trademark on city name.
Microsoft got 23 domains and this is clear take over because all 23 domains had windows inside.
windows7addon.com
windows7antivirus.com
windows7compatible.com
windows7features.com
windows7firewall.com
…

And AOL wind mapsquest.com. As well OK decisionbecause AOL have trademark on mapquest and owner was using this domain to send customers to other companies.
