Many SEO gurus say that you need to lin kexchange a lot to gain better SE positions. But they didn’t tell you that you can link exchange and do more harm than good. Please check out this facts and see if you did something wrong.

1.Link Farms: If your link is inside a link farm or on a page with lots of links and this page is nothing but links, you are harmed, you should try to remove that link.
2.Irrelevant sites: Don’t do link exchanges with sites that have nothing to do with your site, it will only do a harm to you and to the site you exchanged.
3.Anchor Text: try to use relevant anchor text, if you site is about cars, use something related to cars.
This are simple advices that many webmasters don’t follow. I’m getting hit by emails and SEO companies wanting me to exchange links with they link farms and placing they irrelevant link to my site.. Don’t buy this kind of services, it will only do a harm.
