Domain selling is a good investment. A lot people are using Ebay as their market place which can get range of $1- $1000 for each domain. There are some characteristics of types of domain, that is, celebrity names, trademark names, 3-4 letter names, one dictionary word names, two-three dictionary word names, and IDN names.
Be patient and do some research such as keyword tools, domain history, etc to avoid quick sale that might cause sales at lower price. You can work well in any market place besides Ebay if you do the preparation well.
