As the total number of domain approaching 200 million milestones on the world, China’s .cn registration is getting lesser since last year, according to VeriSign’s June 2010 domain report. The main reason of this incident is the China companies sell their domain with very low price but the cost of new domain or renewal become high after the promotion over.
Besides, the regulation in China that announced by the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) also pulls the user away. The top extensions of the world are .com, .de, .net, .cn, .uk, .org, .info, .nl (Netherlands), .eu, and .ru (Russia).
As well there are so many people from China so they must buy many domains. Thats as well one of the reasons why China domains are so popular.
