A batch of Internet domain names which related to 2012 were reserved for Vladimir Putin, recent prime minister of Russian. Through this action, people believe that Vladimir Putin is planning to come back to the presidency in 2012. All these reserved domain are in Russian language with a total of twenty two in late August for the 57-year-old former KGB spy including the Cyrillic equivalent of Putin-2012.rf and Putin2012.rf. Vladimir Putin was president of Russian at year 2000 to 2008 and now he seem want to continue his services at front line role in national politics at the election in 2012.

Analysts believe that he already started his election campaign quietly in order to come back to the Russian. However, Mr Putin’s spokesman strongly denied that they reserved the domain as the preparation for the election. He said it was merely a measure to prevent ill-wishers abusing the domain names for malicious purposes. Besides, seven domain names containing the word Medvedev were also registered but none of those contained the 2012 date.

That is smart move, i think politicians should buy all domain names with they name inside and keep them in safe place so nobody can make black faith on they names.
