Soon there will be a new search engine on the market, that is a new search engine from Xinhua News Agency. The Xinhua News Agency has purchased the domain names Guoso.cn and Guoso.com.cn and it is believe to launch search engine with these domain by end of the year, according to media reports. This is not first time Xinhua trying to get into search market. At year 2008, Xinhua had launched a search.news.cn but didn’t get good response from public and they have to close it down.
With this new plan in search engine market, Xinhua already signed an agreement with China Mobile (CM), the world’s largest mobile phone operator, to set up a mobile search engine to compete for the market share in the internet market. Mobile search market is believed one of the best market that can provide new comers with more opportunities since it started not long ago and has not been monopolized by a certain company.
I doubt they will make anything in search engine world, we all know its dominated by Google.
